Alber Elbaz has unveiled his debut childrenswear collection for Lanvin, and we are happy to have it here to show to you.
Inspired by Lanvin eponymous founder Jeanne Lanvin's close relationship with her daughter Marguerite, the 25-piece collection features a beautiful line of separates, dresses and a few select accessories. Washed organza and pleated tulle form pretty dresses, adorned with delicate crystals and satin ribbon. Other highlights include a silk taffeta trench coat with beaded sleeves, frou frou tiered skirts, and T-shirts featuring a heart, created using technicolour pompoms.
Shoes come in the form of patent, satin-finished ballerina pumps with a tulle front ruffle. Young Lanvin fans are able to complete their look with necklaces, made using beads, tulle, rhinestones and metal. Elbaz has also created four ragdolls, dressed in the collection, for the ultimate childrenswear accessory.
The range is aimed at girls aged from 4 to 10 and will be available in selected Lanvin stores from November. The label announced plans to launch the line in May. I think we can safely say that this collection will be at the top of Suri Cruise's Christmas list this winter. Everyone is getting in on the childrenswear act at the moment and the Lanvin collection is beautiful. There's no word yet on the prices, but a portion of proceeds from the collection's rag dolls will be donated to the charity Designing Hope.
What are your thoughts on Lanvin's Petite collection?
